# Gifts for Cat Lovers (UK): 12 Ideas They’ll Actually Use
> The best gifts for cat lovers are personal and useful. Twelve ideas, from a cat lamp that looks like theirs to something in memory of a cat they lost.
The best gift for a cat lover is one that shows you have noticed their cat: its colour, its habits, the window it always sits in. Generic “crazy cat lady” mugs tend to end up at the back of the cupboard. Below are twelve ideas grouped by budget and situation, starting with the lamps we make in London and including a few things we do not sell but think are worth considering. Browse every design in Cat Lamps.
## Key facts
- The best gifts for cat lovers are personal (their cat, their cat’s colours) and useful every day.
- A cat night lamp is a popular choice: most Artiviesta cat lamps cost £37.99 with free tracked UK delivery.
- For a cat that has died, a gentle memorial gift like a lamp or a donation in its name is often appreciated.
- A custom lamp of their own cat can be commissioned from a photo.
## What is a good gift for a cat lover?
A good cat-lover gift is personal and used often. Match it to their cat (a black cat design for a black cat owner, a tabby for a ginger), or to how they live with their cat (a window scene for an indoor cat, a garden scene for an outdoor one). Then pick something that earns its place: a lamp they switch on every evening beats an ornament that gathers dust.
**Key takeaway:** **Direct Answer:** Choose something personal to their cat and useful every day, such as a cat night lamp that matches their cat’s colour or habits.
## Which cat gifts are under £40?
Every lamp here is £37.99 with free tracked UK delivery:
- Cats on a Swing: our best-selling cat lamp
- Black Cat in the Window: for black cat owners
- Orange Kitty: for ginger tabby households
- Cat on the Balcony: for flat-dwelling city cats
- Cats on a Roof: for night owls
- Cat with Butterflies: for younger cat lovers
## What about a gift of their own cat?
A portrait of their actual cat is the most personal option. You could commission a painting or illustration, or a custom wooden lamp of their cat made from a photo. Allow extra time for anything bespoke.
## What is a good gift when someone’s cat has died?
Losing a cat can hurt as much as losing any family member. Gentle, quiet gifts are best: a lamp that keeps a soft light on in the evening, a framed photo, or a donation in the cat’s name to a cat charity such as Cats Protection. Our pet memorial gift guide has ideas and wording for the card.
## Gifts for the cat itself?
Cat lovers are often happiest when you spoil the cat. A window perch, a scratching post, a new bed or a puzzle feeder will all be appreciated. A warm night lamp near the cat’s favourite spot is a nice touch too; it is safe to leave on and the cable can be tucked away from curious teeth.
## Which cat gifts suit couples?
Two cats together, like Cats in Love on the Tree, make a sweet anniversary or Valentine’s gift. More ideas in romantic gift lamps.
