## What is a good Christmas gift under £40?
Something handmade, personal and useful. A wooden night lamp at £37.99 is all three: made by hand in London, chosen to suit the person, and switched on every evening long after the decorations are packed away.
**Key takeaway:** **Direct Answer:** A handmade wooden night lamp (£37.99, free tracked UK delivery) is a personal Christmas gift under £40 that gets used every day.
## Which lamps are the most Christmassy?
The Winter Bunny and the Robin feel the most seasonal, and the Bunny Fireplace is pure Christmas Eve. Owls and deer, like the Night Owls and Forest Deer, suit a wintry woodland theme.
## What should I get the kids?
Dinosaurs, bunnies, dragons and fairies. See dinosaur night lights and fantasy lamps for the full ranges. A lamp makes a good “one more thing” under the tree because it becomes part of bedtime from the first night.
## Is a lamp a good Secret Santa gift?
If your Secret Santa limit stretches to £40, yes: it is safe, neutral and rarely already owned. Choose a broadly appealing design like the Winter Bunny or Singing Birds.
## When should I order for Christmas?
UK orders are usually dispatched within 1–2 working days and sent tracked, with delivery typically 1–3 days later. Carriers get busier through December, so ordering by early December is the safe choice; we will post final recommended order dates on the site as Christmas approaches. International orders (£12.50 tracked) take longer, so order those in November where possible. Bespoke commissions need more time still.
